Der verlorene Raum

2014, digital print on fabric, digital print on poster paper, different furniture pieces and found objects from Brussels

3,7 x 12,6 x 12,5 m

Kunstmuseum Bonn

A research on hidden and overlooked sites in institutions of Brussels results in a museum space filled with architectural fragments and found objects. Printed semi-transparent fabrics present old marble walls and windows from the labyrinthine building of Victor Horta's BOZAR/Centre of Fine Arts Brussels. Furniture pieces re-stage situations of daily routines within institutions of Brussels – such as Palace de Justice, Berlaymont, the EU Parliament, the Goethe Institute, La Monnaie and the Royal Museum of Africa. Research images from all locations are pasted onto metal filing cabinets.
