Two lightboxes highlight historical areas of the HKW/Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin that only became visible during the course of renovation work: A political graffiti from the 1980s found behind the white exhibition walls as well as the entrance to the interpreters’ booths from 1956, the year the building was errected as an expression of German-American friendship.
