Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Foyer of the castle

 

In a black showcase in the foyer of the castle building the University declares that the institution admits responsibility for its irreversible crimes during the Nazi-Regime of 1933-1945, where certain students and members of staff were expelled from the University. Opposite the showcase two stair-ways lead to the University’s Senate Hall on the first floor. Both begin side by side. The main one is grand and leads all the way up, the second one is cut off by a wall of the building.
