Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Foyer des Schlosses
In a written declaration by the University Senate, which is presented in a black vitrine in the building’s foyer,
the institution recognizes its responsibility for the injustice during the Nazi-Regime: Members of the University, scientists
and students had been expelled because of their descendance, their political beliefs or their sexual orientation.
Opposite the vitrine two staircases lead to the University’s Senate Hall on the first floor. Both begin side by side.
The main grand one leads to the upper floor and the Senate Hall, the second is cut off by the wall of the university building.
